Mediatool is thrilled to announce we have finalised a €2.5 million investment round led by investor Newion, together with J12 Ventures, Almi Invest and current investor Twig.

We’re on a mission to make marketing campaign management better for global brands. This support from Amsterdam’s Newion will be instrumental in realising our ambitious growth targets.

“I think what Newion saw in Mediatool is that we are the best solution on the market today, and our plans to expand will keep us working hard to hold that position,” said Mediatool co-founder and CEO Alexander Högman.

“Until now, Mediatool has been entirely bootstrapped. We’ve built a profitable company with international reach, and now we’re going to scale that up with not only funding but the vision and support of talented investor partners.”

We are excited to be working with Newion in their first Nordic venture. This is our first funding round, and it’s crucial that we’re partnering with a visionary team who is committed to growing Mediatool in the same way we are.

“We are excited to have Newion’s backing as we enter an ambitious growth phase.”

Mediatool started with the simple notion that when it came to media planning, there had to be a better way. As former advertisers ourselves, we understand the challenges of performance marketing campaigns. Bogged down by spreadsheets, overwhelmed by email threads, and not content with the tools available at the time, we committed to do things differently. Better. And that’s exactly what Mediatool does.

This funding means we can scale-up to guide more global brands into the new performance marketing management paradigm.

Mediatool is the leading media management software enabling marketing professionals to get more done in less time, save hours on manual reporting and deliver better marketing campaigns. Now we’re ready to truly go global, delivering those benefits in a wider market and with expanded in-house capabilities. New people, new initiatives, and new solutions to new marketing challenges.
